Is this mentoring lark really worth it?!

For some time now I have been mentored by Damian McGillicuddy, roughly about every 6-8 weeks i tootle off down (could be up i don't know! where ever TomTom sends me) to Warington to a mentor session. The day is long, and the drive cold I always leave with my head in a spin and head off to the service for some paracetamol. Then theres the cost, even the fuel and we all know how that's risen each time we fill up!
So is it worth it?
Absolutely yes!! It is fair to say I am addicted!
The day is long and crammed full of vital information for any photographer seeking excellence, the sessions are delivered honestly and fully leaving nothing out. My head is always in a spin when i leave and yes i stop at the services about half an hour into my journey home to jot down the ideas filling my brain from the day of inspiration id just left.
What about the cost, well its an investment that repays me every time i set my lights up or press that shutter be it for my own family or a client.
I'm  at the beginning of a long journey, I'm an all or nothing girl and believe me i want it all, i want the licentiate through to fellow and master regardless of how long it takes. Damian Mcgillicuddy as well as being my mentor is also a gentleman with a twisted sense of humor! and a friend.

Mini Iights workshop with Damian Bigdog McGillicuddy

Hi well last Thursday saw me walking the streets of Manchester with Damian and Lesley McGillicudy and the fabulous model Nic, as well as the usual inspirational words of wisdom from Damian we had step by step direction in composition and lighting, but best of all how to best use it in every situation....take a look at a couple of the images taken on the day.

The Art of the nude workshop delivered by Damian McGillicuddy

This workshop was spectacular! situated in Oddfellows in Chester we had the run of most of the place and as ever Damian delivered an honest lesson filled with technical direction and artistic flare....Have a look at some of the images i took from the day, just a few of many.

The art of the nude seminar with Damian Mcgillicuddy was amazing yesterday, once again I've come home inspired and with a mind full of valuable information. Now to hire me a model and put my own twist on things!

Recent visit to the very fabulous Damion McGillicudy for mentoring.

As you may be aware I do every so many weeks drive to warrington to get my fix of fabulousness in the form of teachings and mentoring from BigDog Mcgillicudy who offers honesty integrety and a very genuine passion to make sure my photography moves on in leaps and bounds.

I love my time there, i always come home inspired and with a mind full of information and this time was no different!

We even braved the rain never let it be said we are fair weather workers!

Exciting weekend

well an exciting day of training ahead of me tomorrow in manchester with the very fabulous Big Dog Mcgillicuddy himself! Looking forward to the shoot and meeting the other photographers on the day. I will post images from the day next week, internet connection permitting!

On the light path

Hi,
So i havent really spoke in a while, posted images but not said much!
A little of where i am..........still loving photography still having lessons on mentor me on steroids with the fabulous Big Dog! all that considered im spending my time seeking and playing with light be it natural or from my studio lights, I cant wait to get outside and shoot on location with and without flash!
I will post images as and when i discover new things as well as from the usual shoots.
